Yoga
Our guests will enjoy two daily Yoga classes, offering a blend of Anusara, Hatha and Partner Yoga. The sessions will offer a variety of modifications, assistance for those less experienced and options for those more advanced. All classes will be taught in the Spiritual Center of The Goddess Garden resort, offering beautiful views of the rain forest and a blend of Jungle sounds. Throughout the week, you will experience a blend of physical posture, body movement exercises, breath work, and meditation.

Dawn Justice - Yoga Instructor

Yoga Instructor, Reiki Master and Thai/Yoga Massage Therapist, Dawn Justice lives in Bucolic Sonoma County, California and teaches in various locations throughout the United States. She loves sharing the gifts of Yoga and healing energies with people wherever she ventures. Certified by 7 Centers in Sedona, Arizona, Dawn is constantly amazed, enthralled and excited by all that Yoga has to offer. She continues to train and practice with special emphasis in Anusara Yoga, Acro Yoga, and Partner Yoga.
Workshops
Several additional workshops will also be offered throughout the stay, taught by Dylan Hunt, a spirited Tai Chi and Kung Fu instructor from Costa Rica. The sessions will focus on the Chinese healing arts of Qi Gong, Tai Chi and guided meditation. These courses will help to center and relax our guests while providing an opportunity to explore traditional Chinese physical arts, a perfect compliment to Yoga. Dylan is a native Texan and lives in Costa Rica where he practices and teaches these physical arts.

We invite you to experience the luxurious accommodations at this hand crafted lodge and spiritual community situated a short walk from a breathtaking secluded beach on the Caribbean Sea. Offering an enchanting ambiance and an intimate experience amidst the rainforest, The Goddess Garden features an amazing hidden canopy swimming pool surrounded by tranquil gardens and plentiful terraces. Practice Yoga and meditate in the enormous, open-aired meditation hall adorned in exotic hand carved wooden sculptures. The small beach town of Cahuita is only a short taxi ride away, offering restaurants, shops and free access to the Cahuita National Park. The park trail meanders along white sand beaches and clear blue waters and hosts abundant wildlife. It is easy to spot White Face monkeys, Howler monkeys, three-toed sloths, snakes and Iguanas. Visit the popular town of Puerto Viejo, just 20km away, to find local crafts, boutiques, international dining and very active nightlife.

The airport you will fly into/from is San Jose International Airport (Juan Santamaria), SJO, in Costa Rica.
Ground transportation between San Jose and The Goddess Garden will be provided on Jan 7 and Jan 14, 2012. Plan for a 4 to 5 hour drive through beautiful Costa Rican country.
Arrival travel day is Saturday January 7, 2012. Please try to arrive at San Jose airport by 2pm at the latest.
The departure travel day is Saturday January 14, 2012. Try to schedule your return flight departure no earlier than 1pm to allow for ground travel time and early check-in.
If you’d like to stay in San Jose prior to or following the retreat, hotel recommendations will be provided upon registration.
Important Notes
Your reservation will be secured with payment of $150, as a non-refundable deposit paid at booking, which will be applied towards total payment.
50% of retreat cost is due by December 7, 2011. The remainder is due two weeks before arrival, by end of day December 23, 2011.
Double rate is for two persons per room; triple for three persons per room or bungalow; and dorm for six persons per bungalow, in bunk beds. Housing options are first come first serve. Dorm space is limited, and may not be available at all locations. If you are travelling alone, you can request any housing option. We will try to match you with another traveler(s). We will contact you if your housing request cannot be met to discuss the available options.
Yoga & Tai Chi classes and meals are optional, although they will not be refunded if missed.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a retreat for any reason. In this case, tuition may be transferred to another retreat or fully refunded, including the housing deposit. Retreat will be cancelled if less than 8 people are registered. 21 days notice will be given.
